Big Girl Bed!

 Tonight Mommy and Daddy turned my crib into a toddler bed!  Even though she's been somewhat worried that my perfect sleeping routine and habits would be ruined as soon as I was able to get out of my crib, she decided to go ahead and give me freedom anyway.  I've never tried to climb out, but Baby Brother is coming soon and he will need my crib.  For the next month I will use my crib as a toddler bed, then I will be getting a real big girl twin bed.  At first, they did put a guard rail on the bed to prevent me from falling off, but after seeing me hold onto it and jump, they decided the rail itself might get me hurt especially if I tried to climb over it, so they took it off.  Mommy is curious to see if I will fall out of the bed or walk out of my room and venture down the stairs.  She was prepared for a long night of walking me back to bed, but she forgot that I'm a perfect sleeper.  Even though I called for her and cried a bit when she left my room and shut the door, I didn't leave my bed.  After about 30 minutes, I fell asleep all by myself and didn't get off my bed once!  Who knows what will happen if I wake up in the night or what I'll do first thing in the morning when I can get off my bed...everyone we'll just have to wait and see!  Stay tuned!

Baby Brother is Growing!

22 Weeks

I'm getting so excited for my baby brother to come!  Mommy is getting bigger and I love to hug her belly and give him kisses.  I feel him move and I can't wait to meet my best friend.

I Can Count!

I've been such a talker lately!  I do a pretty good job at saying the alphabet and counting to 10.  Mommy and Daddy think I'm the smartest little girl, until they ask me what color things are.  To me, everything is blue!

Holiday Fun

Hanukkah and Christmas are the best holidays!  I get to see my family and everyone brings me presents.  I really made out this year and ended up with more toys any little girl could ever ask for.  My celebration started at the beginning of December when we went to Bubbe's house for Hanukkah dinner.  Unfortunately, Daddy was sick and couldn't join us.  Later in the month, some family got together to help others and assemble kits for homeless people.  We visited and I opened gifts!

Finally it was Christmas!  We went to Uncle Darren and Auntie Nidzara's house on Christmas morning and Daddy's Uncle Bob and Aunt Janet's house for dinner.

Family Pictures

Mommy forced Daddy and I to take family pictures last month.  We don't know why she needs these pictures, she gets to see us everyday, but apparently it's important to her, so we went along with ...kind of.

It was going well, really.  I was playing at the park, throwing acorns and running around.  Then, all of a sudden, Mommy made me stop and sit on a blanket.  Then they wanted me to smile.  Smile?  Why would I smile, I was just forced to stop playing at the park to pose for a picture.  I decided to poop instead.  Then the nice picture lady had toys, they called props, to make me happy.  They did, but I still didn't want to sit still for a picture.  Daddy stayed calm, mommy tried to hold it together, and we, as a family, made it through the 20-30 minute photo session. 

In the end, we got some pictures.  I think we all look great.  I wish mommy luck next year when she will want to do this with 4 of us.
