18 Month Dr. Visit

Trying to call someone to get me out of here.
Can you believe it?  I'm such a big girl.  I turned 18 months on the 23rd and today was my wellness visit.  I was excited to show my doctor all the things I can do.  She quickly learned how much I can talk as the first thing I said when she came in the room was, "no."  I kept saying it throughout the check-up but unfortunately she didn't get the clue.  She was impressed with my 30-40 word vocabulary, ability to run and climb, and follow simple directions.  She said I was perfect!  Mommy and daddy knew this all along, but it was nice to hear it from a professional.

Waiting for them to call my name

Some of my favorite words:  no, mommy, daddy, dog, ball, mine, milk, night night, uh-oh, oh no!, cow, blue, up, all done, help, bye bye, bubble, duck, Elmo, movie, ta da!, baby, Bo, bib, please, Uncle, and  Auntie.  I can even say the letters in my name...although the M is my favorite.

I heard the doctor telling mommy it was time to take away my paci at bedtime.  Mommy already took it away during the day AND at nap time and I'm not sure how I'll do without it at night.  This weekend mommy is going to cut the tips off all my pacifiers and cross her fingers that I remain a perfect sleeper.

Happy Birthday To Lucy

Lucy as a puppy

Happy Birthday to my big sister Lucy, who turned 5 yesterday or the day before (mommy can't remember).  Mommy used to give her Pup Cakes and make a big deal for her birthday, but nowadays, all she gets is a blog post.  She is the best big sister because she plays with me, cuddles with me, and gets very upset when I'm crying.  Mommy, daddy, and Izzy love her too.  She's definitely the trouble maker of the family, but she makes up for it.  We love you Poo!

Ariana's Birthday Party

A few weeks ago I went to my cousin Ariana's 6th Birthday Party at Build-a-Bear in Temecula.  We had so much fun!  Even though I was the youngest party goer, I followed the directions of the teacher and built myself a cuddly kitty.  I love her so much.  Thank you Ana for inviting me!
We all wore tutus

Here I am a few weeks later playing with my kitty from the party and my Build-a-Bear Danielle bought me for my 1st birthday.  I love playing with them.  I sit them on my chair, offer my milk sippy to them, and read them books.  I give them hugs and kisses too!

Sprinkler Park

I love playing at sprinkler parks.  It doesn't matter how cold I am or how strong the water pressure is....I love it!  I don't like it when mommy sacrifces herself to save me from high pressure water sprinklers.  I push her hands away and scream and yell so she lets me play.  People laugh and tell their older kids, "Look at the baby, she's not scared."  Of course I'm not scared. It's just freezing water shooting out of the ground at remarkably high speeds.  Daddy wouldn't be scared either; however, mommy is terrified and has gotten pretty wet trying to rescue me.  I sometimes shake and shiver because the water is so cold, but that doesn't mean I want to dry off.

Finally mommy was able to pry me away from the water play area and we played at the park.  I also love sticking the wood chips through the small holes in the jungle gym floor.  I could do this for a really long time.

Doctor's Office

As many of you know, mommy and daddy had a terrible stomach flu a few weeks ago.  Daddy was much worse, but both were unable to care for me during the day.  Thankfully, Auntie Julie came to the rescue.  Mommy was soooo worried that I would get it, she took me to the doctor just to ask what to do if I start showing signs of the flu over the weekend (silly mommy).  Mommy had them examine me AND take my tempertature.  I don't like it when they take my temperature because they do it the "accurate" way and if you know what I mean...it's not good.
Anyhow, I found that if I keep my sunglasses on, the process of taking my  temperature and being examined by the doctor is much more bearable.  The doctor was laughing at me because I screamed and cried, but left my glasses on and would only push them down to look over the top a few times.
Anyhow, I am perfectly healthy as far as the stomach flu goes.  Thank goodness!

July 4th

For the 4th of July, Mommy, Daddy, Uncle, Auntie and I went to the Beach's for a BBQ. We had a lot of fun.  I played in the bounce house, visited with my freinds, and ate yummy food.  Enjoy the pics!
I spent a long time putting my hands in the ice cold bucket filled with drinks.  I love playing with ice!  Ten I would take out each soda can and lick it.  Mommy tried to stop me, but I did it anyway.  I think I was able to
 lick most of them.
Here I am back home and having some milk before I go to bed.  Happy 4th!

Grandpa's House

On July 1st, Mommy and Uncle William took me to Grandpa Young's house to go swimming.  I had so much fun!  I love the water so much!  This was the first place I went swimming when I was just 4 months old. Mommy took lots of silly pictures of me with her new phone.  Here are some of them...enjoy!
